Martha Asks For A New Trial
NEW YORK (AP) - Martha Stewart requested a new trial Wednesday, saying one of the jurors who convicted her failed to disclose a checkered past that includes an arrest on assault charges.

I think the whole trial was a farce to start with. I'll guarantee that the Enron guys (who had a lot more money at stake) won't be punished nearly as bad as Martha. Her crime: she's a woman, she's opinionated, she's rich and she's a bitch. I myself wouldn't mind taking over her home making empire and toning it down a bit for the common person but I don't think she deserves to go to jail.
