Bush opposes 'legacy' college admissions
What a joke! Bush would have never gotten into Yale University with his grades if he wasn't a legacy! I love how he wants to end things that got him where he is, well that and stealing an election, which he'd do again in a heartbeat but I digress. He's such a hyprocrite!

Couldn't he have had a change of heart? Wouldn't you agree that 'legacy' admissions should end?

The problem is that having a change of heart after you've milked the system for all it's worth feels wrong. I'm not saying it couldn't happen. But something extra should be done to make it right, especially if the one making the purposed change is in the position they are in because of what they are against. It would be like me being against student loans now after I have my education completed. I'm just saying the bar is higher for someone to be against something when they profit at someone else's expense. In this case a lackluster student that got into college based on his family's wealth and his dad's previous efforts in college. He can't make up for the fact that he's where he's at because he bumped a student with the grades and desire out of a seat in Yale. He makes that right by setting up an endowment to give a qualified student a free ride to Yale every year that would not normally have an opportunity too. Then he could come back to me, and say that he's serious about getting rid of legacy students.
