Your Call Is Important to Us

I've been trying to get through to the Britax people ever since I found out that Alexis' carseats have been recalled. Trying being the operative word there! All you hear is "Please stay on the line. Your call is important to us!" followed by crappy elevator music. Today I finally get through only to find out that the information they told you to have available is not the actual information they need. So now I've got to figure out what in the blue blazes they actually want and call them back and wait again through the cycle of unbearable music and the pepperings of cheery "Please stay on the line. Your call is important to us!" crap when in reality they don't give a flying flip! I HATE corporations!

I haven't been able to get through either. What info did they tell you they needed?

They don't tell you this, but all you have to do is lift the seat cover and all the information they are looking for is there. Dianne and I took one of our seats out of the car and took it apart until we found the alleged tag they were talking about in their instructions. Then we attempted to put that information into their online registerstration form. It rejected it, but didn't give us a clue to why it was being rejected. I'm convinced it's a O verses a zero thing and they used a font that makes it impossible to tell them apart. Maybe I'll spend a couple of hours on my vacation working out every possible combination and try them all. Of course, this has just made me mad, because they shouldn't be requiring all this information and they shouldn't be so flippant about giving out the replacement straps.

If you'd like to try the online form click here.
