Santa Had a Southern Accent
I took Alexis over to Arundel Mills today to meet Elladean and do some shopping and have lunch. Of course while we were there we just had to get her picture taken with Santa Claus. When we walked up to Santa's chair there was so much to look at Alexis was amazed. Santa was sitting in front of a giant lighthouse that Alexis was just thrilled with. I wasn't sure how she'd react to Santa himself but as her eyes lowered and she saw Santa she grinned from ear to ear and squealed, "Grandpa!" and I knew everything would be ok. As we've mentioned before Jamison's dad bears a resemblance to Santa and Alexis was convinced that this was him! She jumped right in to his arms. Then when he started talking and had a southern accent Alexis was just convinced it was "Grandpa". She was just talking up a storm to him throwing in a "Grandpa!" here and there. Santa looked at me questioningly and I explained that he looked like Jamison's dad. She had her picture taken as you can see with the scanned picture below and gave him a big hug and said, "Bye Grandpa!" She realized other people were waiting to sit on "Grandpa's" lap and she wanted to share. Have I mentioned lately how sweet my little girl is? This Christmas is going to be so much fun!
