Bush to Sign Bill Curbing Lawsuits

"The House of Representatives joined the Senate in sending a clear message to the nation: the rights of large corporations that take advantage of seniors, low-wage workers and local communities are more important than the rights of average American citizens."

I think that pretty much sums up the Republican worldview. No one wanted tort reform more than me, but this wasn't the way to go about it. But big business got their money's worth out of their mega donations to the Republican party in the last campaign. With no fear of litigation we will see corporations rush back to their old behaviors of poisoning customers to save a few bucks, because they don't really care about anything but the money in the end. The federal court system which the Republicans are stacking with anti-America judges, will only require a campaign contribution receipt to throw a case out of court no matter how guilty the company is. It's going to make America a great place for sure.
