Amazon.com Knows, Predicts Shopping Habits

I'm trying really hard to get worried about the data that Amazon is collecting on me, well more specifically on us all. First of all, they are just about as paranoid about protecting my information as I am. Which makes me less concerned about what they are doing with the data. Secondly, unlike many smaller online stories I've gone too, Amazon never sends me advertisements to my email address. I don't log onto my Amazon account for months at a time, and yet they never seem concerned. Now I use it for nothing more than for the holidays, and they seem to be fine with that. I think people are being excessively concerned over nothing.
