Cousteau Grandson Backs Windmill Park Plan
Interesting another offshore windmill park being planned for the US. I really love this technology, especially when it's moved offshore like this so that it's not in anyone's way. This one which is planned for Long Island will be able to generate 77% of the electricity needed for the island while generating no pollution at all. It's hard to argue with those kinds of numbers. One thing that they mentioned on their website was that it will add price stability to their market, which I never really considered as a bonus of these kinds of technology before. I mean it's basically going to cost the same amount today to generate electricity with wind as it does tomorrow. Makes sense to me and since it's going into a grid the variations caused by seasonal changes in the wind will be balanced out by increased sales of the electricity during peak times.
