Democratic Challenger to DeLay Bows Out

I have to say I completely understand. Having his fifth kid and his mom getting cancer that would take a lot out of you and unlike Republicans who gladly sell their souls for any chance at political power, this guy has to work for a living to make ends meet. I don't think that any specific person is required to beat DeLay, the key is going to be running a good campaign and staying out of the mud slinging that is the standard of a vile monster like DeLay's mindset. From interviews I've heard from DeLay's constituents they have serious doubts about the guy and the polling data supports that as well. Of course these are Republican voters and they are dishonest, so though it may cause them some doubt, I don't think there will be a significant weakness of DeLay's position beyond the weakness he brought on himself by bribing people to redistrict Texas illegally, which is what led to his criminality being exposed on the national stage. I think he'll win the election by less than 51%, but given how Republicans "manage" the voting machines he will still hold onto his seat. Doesn't mean the Democrats should scrap for it, because the guy is a worthless phony. DeLay being in our Congress is an offense to the dream founded by signing of the Constitution, actually most of the Republican party is an offense to our great past.
