Verizon To Connect VoIP to 911 Systems

While I'm not going to pretend that this a philanthropic effort by Verizon, but it's great news for the VoIP system. I'd like to see a wider roll out, but I understand the need to test the system out. Regardless I think they should be willing to roll it out as fast as possible and it would be really nice if they helped roll it out nationwide. Definitely provides the last piece in the puzzle for the VoIP roll out. I really like the work that Verizon has been doing, maybe I can have two internet connections in my house a "naked" DSL and a cable connection. That's some food for thought, the chances of both being taken out at the same time are almost nil and maybe I could do some sort of load balancing. I'll have to think about that one.
