Senate defies Bush on highway bill

In the age of borrow and spend Republicans the notion that Bush vetos his first bill is a laughable joke. Please it's not in the nature of the Republican party to take responsible for anything they do. He'll pass it and get over it, just like he's rubber stamped every other Republican spending increase without any consideration. Having said all that, I'm not convinced that the "magic" that was done to reorganize the allocation resources to cover the costs of the increases are believable, but the Republicans will just cut a bunch more Treasury bonds and keep spending like crazy. Of course, anyone that commutes can see how much the Republicans ignoring the problem pretending they live in 1950's America with no traffic problems haven't really helped any of us and most Republicans political minds are lazy, wealthy, do nothings that don't leave the house except to bring harm to America, so it's not surprising they are clueless to what is happening on the streets and roads in America.
