The return of 'Doctor Who'
Oh my god, why bring it back just to have the new Doctor leave after one season. What's the point??? I hate to be a rule monger, but Time Lords only have 12 bodies they can transform into. So you're basically wasting one of the lives for no good reason if the actor isn't going to stay around, but then again what kind of loser wouldn't want to play Doctor Who until he got bored. It's a great role to play, you pretty much get the wide array of opportunities to act. Not to mention you're guaranteed that kind of fame that gets you recognized for the rest of your days. Am I completely off base on this?

Maybe some plot device to get him a new batch of regenerations. After all the Master was able to cheat death by stealing a body from the Keeper of Trakken...not that the Doctor could do something like that, but surely there are ways.

I don't know, that sounds pretty lame, I didn't get to see all of the later ones, when did all the other Time Lords get whacked? Who pulled that one off? Too bad NetFlix's doesn't have them all organized so I can watch them all in order all at once. Alright all at once over a week.

I don't know when the Time Lords bought the farm. I lost interest in the middle of Sylvester McCoy's stint as the Doctor (the Master stealing a body happened during Tom Baker's reign, shortly before his transformation into Peter Davidson(Davison?)) and seems not too long after that PBS quit showing the series.

Wikipedia has a great section on Doctor Who, I had to use it to confirm how many lives that Time Lords have. You should check it out if you get a chance. Click here.

Thanks for th link. Theres a lot of good material there. Did I ever mention I think Alan Rickman would make an excellent Doctor? Incidently Rickman, like Tom Baker, has also played the role of Rasputin...

Yeah, you've mentioned that before. I'm still not sure that it's a positive link. I can't draw a line between being able to act like a 18th century religious madman and being a good Doctor Who. I've tried, I just can't make the two pieces of information jive.

LOL I admit it is not a logical connection.
