Tonight's Fortune.

My fortune this evening was as follows:
Cleaning up the past will always clear up the future.

I've been trying for the last hour or so to convince Dianne it means I need to go on a Neo-Con killing spree, but she isn't buying that for some reason. ;)

Can I humbly point out that that's NOT a fortune. It's a proverb.
One of my pet peeeves -- these proverbs that go around in cookies posing as fortunes. They should be ashamed. Where did all the real fortunes go? :)

I don't know, I consider it a fortuate that I got a proverb that tells me what I want to hear!

"Cleaning up the past will always clear up the future."

Reminds me of a quote from George Orwell's "1984"

"Whoever controls the past controls the future. Whoever controls the present controls the past"

Very close indeed. But statements are true.

I agree.

Sorry, dropped a word, the statements are true.
