Enlisting Jenna Bush???

It's an interesting notion being put forward. Recruiters were asked which they would rather have 40k bonuses for enlistment or the enlistment of Jenna Bush. They overwhelmingly picked Jenna, not because of her renowned military prowess, but the symbol she represents. I mean if the daughter of a cowardly draft dodger president is enlisting it sends the message that the war they are fighting is significant and important and that we need to have wider participation. Actually I think they pretty much have their fingers on the pulse of the problem with recruitment. There is no real risk being taken by those that have led us to war, they have no experience with war, they have no real concern for those participating, it's all a campaign agenda item to them. It's hard to get excited to give your life up for something like that. Even for money it's not worth it to poor people anymore. The other suggestions are all problematic for Republicans more women in the military and lifting the ban on gays in the military at well. I really see no problem with either of those ideas, but I'm not hemmed in by a radical ideology. The other suggestions like lowering standards and requiring military service to get green cards are both dangerous to national security. Anyway the Army is excited they met their June numbers, of course that's pretty much expected with high school is letting out and they lowered their expectations down to a realistic level to stop getting the bad press. I'm sure by the end of the day the Republicans will have whipped this into a mandate from the Lord that their God W inspired the masses to join, but the reality of that situation is something entirely different.
