Private Accounts Not in Social Security Bill
It's about freaking time the Republicans started ignoring the Neo-con fools in the Administration and started doing their jobs. We don't have any details yet so I'm not getting my hopes up that anything of value is going to presented in the Republican version. I've been thinking about the way I would want my ideas implemented so that everything could be shored up properly. I think I'd like to see it introduced as a quarter percent increase to the social security deduction for both workers and employers for the next twelve years to increase the total to three percent on both sides. That would decrease the strain of its introduction and allow some planning on both the worker's side as well as the employers. I'd also like to see a 10k increase per year on the point where the employers and employees stop paying social security. I think it should also parallel the 12 years increase in social security taxes. That would give us the wealth thieves paying their fair share all the way up to the first 210k of their paychecks. Probably more because I believe the number is also modified based off of inflation so it would probably be something like 225k or so. Which seems fair to me. Most of us will work our entire lives and never make a dollar that doesn't have social security taken out of it so why should the wealthy get an exemption? I'll dissect the Republican bill once we get some details out about it.
