Dianne, sometimes it is a power struggle at this age. Can you just put her in her crib, walk out of the room and leave her alone.

That's what I do actually. I leave her in her room for 2 hours and I don't go back in. These pictures actually were just me playing with my new camera after the 2 hours was over. :o)

You are so lucky that she will actually stay in her crib. Marilyn has been in a toddler bed since she was 18 months because she learned to climb out of the crib and I figured if she was going to be getting out of bed all the time she might as well not be falling 3 feet every time she did. Now, of course, she's in the big girl bed. Some days she'll actually nap, but more often she just plays quietly and messily in her room for two hours.

So far, much to my surprise she hasn't tried to climb out of her bed. That's one of the reasons we haven't upgraded her to a toddler bed yet, though we have been discussing it. She just wouldn't stay in a toddler bed during the day let alone at night. I go back and forth with the idea. I haven't decided yet.
