Americans Send Donations for Storm Victims
The Red Cross had collected $21 million, nearly $15 million of that from individual donations through its Web site, Red Cross spokeswoman Kara Bunte said.
It's great to see everyone doing their part to help out. Of course this is still America, so we all have to be aware of fraud that comes with any mass effort to help people. FEMA has made a legitimate charity list so before you donate to some church or other organization claiming that it's going to help the people in the Gulf Coast check this site here.
