Chertoff delayed federal response

Well we all knew this was coming. Brown knew there was going to be an accounting and knew the Bush Administration had never done a thing wrong in it's entire existence. So like a good Republican he abandoned the sinking ship. Of course the paperwork continues to point higher up the chain of command in the Federal government. Chertoff evidently didn't follow the emergency response plan causing the delay in response. For those of you that weren't paying attention when the Republicans pushed to move FEMA under the Department of Homeland Security they promised that these kinds of things wouldn't happen. But Republicans are liars, so no surprise there. While Brown's efforts can only be described as half-hearted at best, Chertoff actually ignored the directives of the National Response Plan. I imagine that this will go one of two ways, the MSM will either get a directive from the Republicans to ignore this fact and it will be swept under the rug or we will see Chertoff take the fall to avoid having the President taking responsibility for putting such incompetent morons into positions of such importance. Remember this Chertoff guy is in line to be President and he can't even figure out if a Category 4 Hurricane making landfall on a City below sea level is a "Incident of National Significance".
