Chocolate Soup
This morning I made myself the first cup of hot chocolate of the season. Alexis was watching Sleeping Beauty so I sat down in my computer chair to catch up on email and drink the delectable goodness. I had about 1/4 a cup left when Alexis came over and pointed to my cup.
"Munge coffee?"
"Yes, Grams drinks coffee, but Mommy doesn't. This is hot chocolate."
"OK."
"Do you want to taste it?"
"Coffee ick!"
"It's not coffee, it's hot chocolate."
"Mommy M's?"
"You can't have M's right now. M's are a snack for the afternoon, not a morning food."
"OK."
So she wandered away and started playing and watching Sleeping Beauty again. I got up to switch the laundry out and when I came back she was holding my mug.
"Mommy, chocolate soup!"
"It's called hot chocolate. Do you want to taste it?"
"I taste chocolate soup!" So she takes a sip and then smiles, "Oooohhh yummy!"
"It's good isn't it?"
"Oh Mommy Chocolate soup!"

That is sooo cute! Marilyn really loves her "chocolate breakfast" (Carnation instant breakfast) but she hasn't had a chance to try hot chocolate yet.

By the time Alexis got to it it was more like chocolate milk. It was lukewarm at best at that point. But she seemed to like it...but then again I don't think she's met chocolate she doesn't like, though she doesn't get it that often.
