How do you follow that?
I've been trying to write a blog post that will allow a transition from Dianne's wrath of God I bring these commandments that you will all live by post. All that I can think to say about it is Fools rush in where Angels fear to tread. There is this gross misconception among Neo-cons that the louder and ruder they are, the more right it makes them. We are strong believers in the freedom of speech, but the freedom of speech does not guarantee you the right to be heard. It's not an alien concept to understand for even the simplest of minds and yet we appear to have to have this argument every other day. Personally I like it when the Neo-cons go all self-righteous on me and start making wild accusations, because it proves my point about their utter lack of credibility ever more clearly. For example the accusation last night was that we had made some comment about the behavior of Neo-con children. Yet a careful review of the comments made by everyone makes it clear that never once was there a suggestion made by me, or anyone else for that matter, that the Neo-con children were out of control. If such a suggestion had been made I would have disagreed with it because it would have been untrue and I'm big fan of presenting things as they are. This reoccurring persecution complex is one of the most annoying parts of dealing with the Neo-cons. I'm disagreeing with you because you're wrong to reiterate Dianne's rule 4, I feel no personal feelings one way or another about any individual among you. I will happily eviscerate public figures that are the living embodiment of your ideology, but I greet every individual with the hope that what I believe about them is wrong. As for how I look at groups that's a result of years of training to make me a moral relativist to be a good sociologist. I tend to reduce groups to the least common denominator so that it makes them easier to classify and organize. A reduction of a group has no bearing on the individuals in said group...it just gives me a starting place to decide what the best way to deal with them is. What I will not do is give anyone the benefit of a doubt based off of what they think I should think about them. I measure everyone based off their actions and not what they say. For Neo-cons this is a matter of grave concern because hypocrisy is the foundation of their lives. There is nothing I can do about the fact that people say one thing and do another. It's not my fault for pointing it out and I feel it's my responsibility to make sure as many people notice the hypocrisy were ever I find it.
