Inexpensive, Efficient Organic Catalyst for Biodiesel Production from Carbonized Sugar

My two favorite words in Science...Inexpensive and Effective!! For those of you that don't know there are acids used the production of Biodiesel. These kinds of substances are not what we would call environmentally friendly. Dianne can give you the bitter diatribe on the subject if you're really interested, but for now just assume that it's bad for the sake of argument. The Japanese have found a way to do it without using the evil acids and it's cheap. This should allow the process to require less expensive protective equipment on site. It's all good for everyone. I think the green revolution that is going on right now will actually lead us to a truly sustainable society if we are willing to use it.
