A performance versus fuel efficiency 'switch' on Toyota hybrids Science

Funny...I was ranting at my Toyota dealer's shop about this very issue. Why the hell does an SUV need to go from 0 to 60 in 7.2 seconds??? We all know it's a software setting and now evidently they've made it public that they are thinking about offering an option to tone it down. I don't see that I need a switch, just set it to the more fuel efficient mode and call it a day. Ok a switch might be cool. I can't imagine a use for it, but then again I want the electric only switch as well. Toyota hybrids actually have a missing switch to run all electric that are not there in the American models. You know what I want to control everything!! It's time for the upgrades folks. :) I wonder how much of a fuel jump they could give us with the upgrade??
