Charlotte's Web

About a month ago I TiVoed Charlotte's Web because I hadn't seen it in years and thought it would be fun to see it again. Alexis fell in love with this movie! Now she wants to watch "Wilbur" as she calls it everyday.

At the beginning of the movie when Fern's father is introduced in the movie Alexis has squealing fits of joy! His name is "Papa" and that is what she calls Jamison's dad, so she always says something like "Mommy, there's Papa! He's so cute!" And today she discovered she could say "Fern". The other day she actually said "Charowette", but she still calls the movie "Wilbur".

It's a cute movie if you've never seen it...a bit sappy and hokey, but cute none the less and it's definitely worth the watch if you're in the mood for a feel good story.

We'd taken a hiatus from letting Alex watch this. There are only so many Alex-renditions of "A fair is a veritable smorgasbord-orgasbord-orgasbord" that any two parents should have to face. Maybe we'll try it again now that Marilyn is old enough to enjoy it too.

Alexis is forever singing the same song over and over and over and over. And she changes it to suit her. If I took away every movie she did that with she'd have nothing to watch.

If he had been singing the whole song over and over, that would be one thing. He was singing that one phrase over and over. Where ever we happened to be when the urge struck. Including at church.

Singing parts of a song from a movie is IMHO also a 'cute when they're two, not so much so when they're five' thing.
