Maryland court rules against same-sex marriage ban

Well I have to say I agree with this ruling. The judge found that tradition in no way significant enough to justify discrimination. And that the Republican argument that it was in the best interest of children as a justification made absolutely no sense. I would tend to agree. Of course the radical point of view was provided by one of our radical buddies from the Constitution Party. Mr. Dwyer of course pretends to be Republican for election purposes. He thinks we need a constitutional amendment to "protect" families. I've been trying for years to try and get someone to explain to me how my family is endangered by same-sex marriage? What exactly does that change for me? I'll tell you...absolutely nothing changes for me! All it does is give the same rights I have to people who fill the same role as me. That doesn't keep me up at night and the entire "we are doing to protect the children" argument is the most laughable. Is there any evidence that they are any worse at raising kids than anyone else? I know a lot of heterosexuals I wouldn't allow to raise kids because they are so crazy, but I don't see any rush keeping them from being allowed to reproduce and have kids. What I'm missing of course is the crisis. What's the problem with all this? Where is the Constitutional Crisis that justifies bigotry being written in to the State Constitution or the national Constitution. I guess that's the challenge that really needs to be placed forward for Republicans to answer. Justify the need to institutionalize bigotry because the notion that it's something else is laughable.
