Microsoft censors bloggers who criticize Chinese government
There is nothing done by Corporate America that really surprises me anymore. They've become as corrupt as our own government, their morality and principals have long since been thrown out the window in the name of the all mighty dollar. You would think that there might have at least been a moment of hesitation on Microsoft's part before they did something like this, but there was nothing. When faced with the decision about principal they immediately jumped at the command of dictatorship. Much like companies inside the United States with the DMCA they happily ignored the notions of the privacy of their customers to sell them out to anyone that asked about them. They required no evidence, no proof, they just went on the assumption that their customers must be guilty of something because someone asked about them. It's the logical result of focusing too much on the short term profits and not enough on the long term health of your business. For shame!
