Evangelical Leaders Join Global Warming Initiative

I've been trying for days to process this action. My first instinct was the laugh out loud. Evangelicals to the person are Republicans. Those that aren't Republicans are likely decent people, but represent an insignificant amount of the population of the Evangelical movement. These are the worthless people that voted for W when they knew he was guilty of all manner of crimes against the United States. These are the same people that support the President blindly even as they are saying something should be done about the environment. The President is responsible for the ever increasing problems with the environment, actually the entire Republican/Neo-conservative movement has been working continuously to undermine all efforts to save the environment for the last 3 or 4 decades. The notion that you can vote for them and then turn around and claim your worried about the future of the environment show a complete disconnection from reality, but then again that's a hallmark of what it means to be a Republican. My instinct is that this is a part of a grand cover-up by the Republican party, another one of their fake "reform" efforts. They talk about it, their followers scream with glee, they go off and do what their campaign contributors no matter what they say, their followers vote for them again anyway. And when someone says hey you didn't do anything. There will be a billion Neo-con evangelical drones there screaming, he made a powerful speech about the fact that we need to change. And when you point out that nothing changed, they will tell you it's the Democrats fault. Doesn't matter that the Democrats control no branch of government, it's their fault anyway. Republicans are generally pretty damn dim, since they still believe that lie. Republicans control everything and things are steadily getting worse. Who's fault is that? Say it with me you brain-dead idiots! The R-E-P-U-B-L-I-C-A-N-S!!! It still makes me shake my head. Evangelicals believe firmly that the Rapture is coming any day. And they believe that it's their duty to use up every last resource on the Earth the day before they all leave. It's what God means by good "stewardship". The notion that a Republican even know what the term stewardship means is laughable, the notion of personal responsibility is so alien to your average Republicans they wouldn't know it if it walked up and smacked them in the face. These people don't have the moral and mental capacity to know right from wrong. I suspect it's like the Republican led effort to implement a racist anti-immigration agenda in the Sierra Club. These scumbags are just trying to poison the well so to speak of the environmental movement. This is nothing more than a trick. I won't believe it until I see them actual take some serious action instead of blowing a bunch of hot air.
