It turns out Cat people really aren't just crazy

I know this one is going to get me in trouble and yet here I go anyway. It turns out researchers at Oxford were researching the effects of the Toxoplasma gondii parasites on rats. For those of you that don't know these parasites comes from the stomach of cats. The researchers discovered that mice infected with the parasite weren't able to process the fight or flight reaction from being exposed to the smell of cat urine. Instead some turned out to be attracted to the urine, increasing their chances of getting caught by you guessed it a cat! It would appear that the parasite is working to ensure that the cat gets fed. Now I know what you're thinking...Jamison what does this have to do with cat people? Well it turns out that about half of the human population is also infected with these parasites. You see where I'm going with this don't you? The scientists decided to see if there was any effect on human cells discovered that there were similar changes in the cells of humans. Then discovered they could kill the parasites by giving them Haloperidol. Guess what Haloperidol is used to treat???? No seriously guess!! Schizophrenia!! So the next time you're giving grief to some cat person, remember it may not be their fault they are crazy. It may be their evil cats that have infected them with Toxoplasma gondii parasites and their brains have been reprogrammed to serve cats. So get them treated for the mental derangement and get rid of the cats while they are a way. Damn devil cats are trying to take over the world!!

Yes I still love my crazy cat loving wife, sure explains a lot of her behavior about cats too.

Beware folks they walk among us!!

Nice theory, Jamison, but they've titred me twice for toxoplasmosis (SOP for OBs when the patient has cats) and I have never been infected. So toxoplasmosis cannot be blamed for me liking cats so much. What it does explain is why reno has to clean the litter boxen--to keep it that way.

Ok, I'll expand the theory to explain your rogue case. Hmmm...let's see, ok I've got a way to explain it. You may not carry the parasites, but you were exposed to someone who was carrying parasites. They convinced you to support and worship their cat masters. That means your a cat zombie by proxy. >:p
