TDS: Alberto and the NSA Hearing
Like I've said in the past, it's gotten to the point that Jon Stewart is my only source for news of the day beyond the internet. He points out all the obvious insanity of the goings on in the world with what can only be described as comic genius. The Bin Laden section of this clip takes it completely over the top, but to believe the Republicans you have to believe that's what's going on. The President will listen to "suggestions" from the legislative branch??? Suggestions!! No you morons...the legislative branch makes the rules that we all live by, we call it the "law". We can debate the merits of good and bad laws, but it's all the law. It's not a suggestion. It just shows you how disconnected from reality the Republican party is right now. They weren't even remotely offended at the notion that the President was basically destroying our Constitution and our way of life. They just knew they had to protect their living God on Earth from prosecution. I think it's safe to say we've gone long past Constitutional Crisis and straight into revolt against the United States being run by the Republican party.

Might be a bit off topic, and I hope I'm not pressing a bad button, but just curious... Did you ever finish the Constitution Classes? Or did you just stop going... because I don't really remember hearing about them on the blog ever wed. for what was it... 12 weeks or something? Just wondering.

Yes, I finished them all. They were done in the accelerated schedule, we were doing 2 a night. So it only lasted 6 weeks. I finished them at the beginning of December. Plus I had already taken several Political Science and Sociology courses on the nature of governments (both ours and others) around the world.

I don't know, it didn't leave any extra time for commentary from the peanut gallery. ;) Of course, Dianne had two rules for me, I couldn't drink the Kool-aid and I could say anything that would cause them to kill me.
