BGE Electric Rates to Rise 72 Percent
Can someone explain to me how with Americans losing useable income at a rate of about 3% a year, they are going to afford a 72% increase in utilities??? It's just not going to work no matter how you do the math. More Republican handy work to undermine our economy. They deregulated the electrical industry so that businessmen could raise prices without bound and now we the customers are going to be paying the price for it. That's an extra $62 dollars a month that poor families are going to have find in their budgets on top of their other bills that are steadily increasing while their real wages are decreasing. It's a disgrace that this kind of thing has become the norm and there are still people supporting the Republicans that are going to be crushed by these kinds of hikes.
