Clear Channel filtering ads again
One of the big advantages the Republicans have gained by allowing media consolidation in this country is the ability to control the message that make it out to the public. Through Republican controlled companies like Clear Channel they are able to make sure that nothing that might harm their campaigns are allowed to be shown or heard. Time and again we've seen them reject ads from Democrats while allowing any level of smut from Republicans and Republican supporting hate groups. The double standard is blatant and obvious. I'm sure glad those Republicans managed to get rid of the equal time limitations from politics so that their corporate media buddies could clear the air waves of any message that could harm the Republican party. Folks this is exactly the kind of thing that requires government regulation to make sure that these blatant favoritism by major campaign contributors of the Republican party are brought under control.
