CA-50 Morning Update
I'm actually extremely surprised this morning. Busby did just as I expected 43.92% of the vote. Turnout was down by 30k, which is great news I think. I'd like to see the Turnout of Democrats to the Republican voters to know if it reflects what I suspected. Democrats turned out in force while Republicans stayed home. As near as I can tell the Republicans seemed to have suffered a 3% drop in turnout. Which speaks to the mood of the Republican base. Now the real shocker...the Neo-Conservative Anti-America Republican lost the race. Let me repeat that so you can soak it in...the Neo-Conservative Anti-America Republican lost the race! The one that had the support of the radical conservative America hating Republicans failed to beat a more moderate Republican. As you know Neo-conservative Republicans are the unbending America hating fringes that spew their radical hate ideology continuously. The are the George W Bush style Republicans that the party demands. So what does it say when their pick for a new criminal mastermind to step in and continue the standard of Republican corruption in Congress doesn't make it? Mind you the Republican winner is still a Republican, still hates America and still is a worthless as the day is long, but he wasn't the most worthless candidate in the race, which is usually the goal of the Republican party when they vote. I'm not sure of the implication yet nationally, but it explains why the Republicans so desperately poured money into a race where they had already poured 5 million dollars worth of campaign money already. If you combine the two Democrats total votes together you end up with 46% roughly. Which is better than what the Democrats got in the last presidential election there. So the magic question is this, will the racist conservative base vote for a moderate or not vote at all in the next election? I'm sure a lot of expert analysis will be coming about in the coming days.
