Colbert Rocks!!

The truth hurts, but Colbert handed it out at the White House Correspondence Dinner to EVERYONE! The man has nerve! The man has chutzpah! The man quite frankly is BRILLIANT!! To stand in the room with Dubya and company and deal it out...it was amazing! Bush couldn't get out of the room fast enough! He ran with tail between his legs! Whoever invited Colbert had to have know he would do exactly what he did, only they might not have realized he would do it with such aplomb and temerity. And the clips with him and Helen Thomas were FANTASTIC!!

Bravo Mr. Colbert! Bravo! And a shout goes out to Helen Thomas as well! You are Daffodil Lane's Good Person(s) of the Day for daring to stand in the same room as the president and tell him what he desperately needs to hear...the TRUTH!!

Watch the video of Mr. Colbert here.

That was a good one. If only the rest of the media would stand up to the White House.

The traditional media spends too much time as the lapdogs for the Republican party to care about actually doing their sacred duties as the Fourth Estate. Beside if they were to ever try their Republican owners/bosses would squash them anyway.

I am still trying to get NPR how much control do the Republicans have over them?

It would appear that it's growing everyday. They've slowly started becoming a regular on Media Matters website along with other great Republican minds like O'Reilly. It's really a disgrace that what was once the most trusted news source has been tainted by Republican influence. The sad part is that they get so little government funding, it might be worth it to cut the news outlets off completely from Republican control. But the Republicans would still be able to keep local stations from carrying it since they get a good portion of their funding from the government still. Something needs to be done when we get control back to purge the Republican taint and cut them off from any chance of falling under the evil thumb of Republican control ever again. Just to protect the future of the United States.
