Green groups endorse Republican Lincoln Chafee

I saw the uproar over all this and if you've read Crashing the Gates you'll realize that this is probably one of the biggest issues facing progressive groups. They think that if they endorse a Republican that it might change the way that they vote. The reality is that there is no such thing as a "moderate" Republican, there is only violently conservative and more violently conservative. The only thing they hate more than our freedom is the notion that we should have decent way of life.

Chafee if you recall voted to approve the EPA folks, who decided that Mercury really wasn't poisonous enough to worry about and increasing the amount that they let industry pour into the environment wouldn't hurt anyone. Mind you I'm nothing approaching a tree hugger, but I sure as hell know that Mercury is bad news to human beings. You don't have to be smart to know that, you just have to have the ability to read and write. Which of course is almost a guarantee to you not getting into the Republican party.

So why would you ask would an organization dedicated to "saving" the environment support any Republican at all? Because they think it might help. THERE ARE NO REPUBLICANS THAT CARE ABOUT AMERICA!! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR MAJOR CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTORS!! Anyone that tells you differently is stupid or selling you propaganda hoping you're stupid. The notion is just plain laughable, Republican Environmentalists!! They are trying to use up the entire world before rapture, they could care less about saving it for any reason.
