It's a Good Thing Alexis and I Have Plenty To Do in the Back Yard!!
![]()
The price of full service high octane gas reaches $4.049 dollars per gallon Thursday, April 20, 2006, at a gas station in Beverly Hills, California.
And it's also a good thing we don't live in California!! I thought $2.85 was bad! It's a good thing Alexis and I have plenty to do in the back yard this summer because with gas prices like this we won't be venturing out very often!! Yikes!!

Oh my. I can remember when gas hit $5.00 in Arizona, but I can also remember when gas was only .98 cents. I can remember my mom saying 'I can't believe gas is almost a doller.' My grand-mother always says 'I can remember when gas was only a nickle.' Thats crazy. Thank God I live closer to work now.

I'm glad I'm driving a hybrid, but the other day filling up my tank cost me over 30 dollars. I'm glad I only have to do that twice a month. But even that seems like too much right now. Then notion of almost 50 dollars a fill-up scares me. I sure hope Americans are ready to vote the Republicans out of office so we can get these prices under control.

I know I filled my tank up yesterday, my little Honda Civic, cost me 30.54!!!! I've never paid that much for a tank. It was priced at 2.959. I have to fill it up just about once every two weeks, but that's only when I don't travle to Pasadena or Germontown... and that's not often.

While I love the political dialogue on this site, I have to suggest reading the following article regarding gas prices. Simple economics - well, the article says it better than I: http://finance.yahoo.com/columnist/article/yourlife/2973

You are entitled to your opinion (although I do not agree with what Mr. Stein says in his piece), but I wasn't blaming anyone in this case...I just said we weren't going anywhere!! With gas prices as high as they are who can afford to?
