Many in county facing 5 months of water restrictions

Oh now that bites!! Looks like we are going under water restrictions again. OK, it doesn't really effect me, we run a tight ship as far as water goes, the joys of living with an environmentalist. But it will mean I will have to watch my neighbors waste water and hear Dianne complain about it for the rest of year. And that's no picnic let me tell you! ;) I'm only posting this as a side note, so when Dianne is complaining at me I can find the phone number to report the violators to the police. It's amazing how we can be under mandatory restrictions and people will waste water on grass. It's a freaking yard, who cares about it??? Human beings being able not to die of thirst is a wee bit more important! Interestingly one of the punishments for flagrant violators is having the water to their house cut off. So you might actually get the chance to experience what it's like if you violate the law. It's time for sacrifice for the greater good folks. I know this will be alien and impossible to understand for you Republicans out there, but it's important.

It is a pain when one's county dose not have access to the amount of resources it needs to meet the needs/wants of its citizens. Has your County looked at building new wells and water towers?

It's more an issue of over crowding and not having enough resources here. You can't tap into a dry well so to speak.

They seem to think they can build enough aquifers to handle the problem over the next decade. The problem is more that the growing happened so fast that they didn't have time to put in the proper infrastructure so they cut corners and made short term solutions that keep coming back to bite them. It's always tough to convince people to pay for a future that most of them can't see. That's what I always find so annoying about people complaining about their taxes. People those taxes make the life you live possible. Despite what the Republicans tell you big business would never make any effort to build the infrastructure required to support their vast wealth on their own. They are just too greedy.

So Make the developers pay for it on the front end.

How about not overcrowding an area to the point that it can't sustain the population. It's a simple issue of carrying capacity and this area has far exceeded that!
