The Princess Has a New Throne

I LOVE Adirondack chairs! My grandfather used to make the most beautiful oversized Adirondack chairs that were off the ground and made you feel like a kid because your feet didn't touch the ground! Today when we were at BJ's to get another Garden Hopper Alexis and I found a kid's sized Adirondack chair just for her. While she is napping I put it together for her.

They had boy and girl designs and Alexis liked this one best. I'm hoping it will have to be repainted at the end of the season to a nice purple or blue! ;o) I wonder what she'll think when she gets up and sees it together? More pictures to come.

Note: I was going to put a link up to the chair itself, but I can't find them online. They are made by Battat and they are very nicely crafted, wooden and sturdy. And it wasn't that expensive to boot! ($19.99) What could be better than that?

You know, one of my favorite things about visiting your house when we were kids, was getting to sit in the adirondack chair your grampa made specifically to fit Joe. I always felt like a little kid in it cause I could dangle my feet instead of having them on the ground!

I loved that chair too! I don't know if he had plans for a chair that big or he just altered plans he had, but my mom said the plans are still in his basement so they are going to make a copy of them so Jamison can makes some for us! :o)
