Americans have abandoned their traditional role as the managers of their political future and instead have left it in the hands of people who don't trust them. It's time for Americans to actually involve themselves in politics and it's time for politics to get messy for the politicos. Sometimes it's good to have a primary because it forces people to become involved in the political process, which is what we need to make sure that we have better choices to offer people come election day.
