Is it time for Bloggers to stop criticizing Democrats?

John over at America blog brought up the notion, which was the result of some pushing from Congressional types. We liberals are pretty much equally hated by both sides of the fence. Republicans hate us because we bring the truth about their radical right wing hate ideology out for the world to see. And Democrats hate us because we demand that they bring themselves to a higher standard than politics as usual in Washington. We take flak from both sides continuously. The Democrats scream that we are pushing them too far left, when the reality of the situation is that they will never be right wing enough to get a single vote from the America hating Republicans. At best we are trying to pull them back to the center of the political spectrum that they seem to think is a point of view they should abandon.

When they give up on America, they will have completely lost the political war and the nation forever. Someone has to hold onto the real moderate point of view and we bloggers are the last line of defense for that point of view. Mind you most of us would much rather see some real progress being made and we talk about that. But the reality is that if we can keep the Democrats from drifting too far right, then we can save the nation and then we can seriously start worrying about making some real progress.

Which brings us back to the real matter of concern for the Democrats, their desperate effort to protect DINO's because they are incumbents. These people have abandoned the moderate positions and decided to abandon the principals of the United States. And we should ignore that? I don't think so. It's a disgrace that anyone would even suggest that kind of behavior. The enemies of America are just that...enemies. It doesn't matter their political affiliation. If you're not working everyday to make America a better place in Washington, then you'er a failure and you should be prepared to deal with the consequences. If you don't want to get grief from the blogosphere, then you need to straighten up and fly right.

Mikulski is way to conservative for my tastes, but her heart is in the right place and she's trying to do a good job for the American people. So you don't hear me complaining about the few lapses she's had. Now if she does something crazy then I'm going to be all over her case, because it's my job as a citizen to remind her to do a good job as my representative. Same is true of all elected officials, election year or not, if they are going to go against the grain of the American people then they should expect to meet resistance.

Democrats have an election where they need to prove they are something different than the America hating Republicans. If they try to act more like them, they better expect to take some serious grief from all corners. I will always try to give people the benefit of a doubt, but if the Democrats want to earn the support of the blogosphere then they are going to have to start displaying some character and conviction to the American people.

It is time we did away with the party system or form a third party that sits in the middle. This party should have some basic goals. I.) Rebuild the nation as an economic power house that is not dependent on anyone else in the world. Stop out sourcing jobs to make companies numbers look better at the end of every quarter and stop companies from using tax shelters off shore to avoid paying their fair share. II.)Stop fighting useless wars that gain this nation nothing but filled grave yards. Lets go back to TR's
"Walk softly but carry a big stick". III.) In courage investment in the nation. IV.)Keep the federal government out of personal and family matters. V.)Set a reasonable goals for the education of our young and step back and let the states carry it out in their own ways. It is not the federal governments place to be involved in every aspect of a class room. The states need to get back to teaching the subjects not the test.
VI.) Rebuild the nations infrastructure. VII.) Make the nation energy independent by 2020. VIII.) Remove lobbing from capital close down K Street in Washington. If you do not live or work in a district or a state you have no business talking to that reprehensive or senator. IX.) Maintain a separation of church and state. (AKA no subsidizing churches to do what the bible calls on them to do anyway. Add to that that the only tax exempt property of a church are houses of worship, schools, and medical facilities thin that the bible calls up on them to do. This excludes Trucking line, Markets, Distilleries, hotels, restraints ect.) X.) Remove the strangle hold of lawsuits in our courts by establishing mediation for non criminal law suits.
