More On Al Gore

"If he's the guy we see today, I think he'd be formidable," said Joe Trippi, a Democratic consultant who helped run Howard Dean's Internet-fueled presidential campaign in 2004.

"I think the real danger is if he were to run as an independent. If he did that, he would wreak havoc on the race in 2008," Trippi said. "He could say, 'I've been out of the system and we have to do it in a different way. I want to lead the way.'"

Kathleen Sullivan, chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, said Gore looks better each day Bush is president.

"For some people, it took six years of George Bush to wake up and realize that Al Gore was the real deal," Sullivan said.

I told Jamison yesterday that if Gore ran for president just as he is right now he'd slay them all! Now that he is speaking his mind and doing so brilliantly and eloquently, without being hampered by political handlers, he's quite the man about town. I'm very impressed with him, not that I wasn't before, but the new Gore has been out telling the world the real truths about global warming and he is a force to be reckoned with. He's on target and we the people of America are more than ready for a change! I'm torn as to whether he'd do more for America in his current situation or as president, but I wouldn't mind him in the oval office, not at all, especially if he stays on the track he's on now.

I think he serves as a reminder of what could have been to the people of this nation. Though many people in his home state still do not want to admit that "W" over their native son was a bad call. :)

I get upset with the stupid people of the state I grew up in, because they would have been so much better off (as would the nation) under Gore's leadership. He did an excellent job for them as Senator and Vice President. And I get upset with the Neo-cons who tout Gore losing TN like it's a badge of honor when in reality he lost it by a razor thin margin, that wasn't in anyway decisive for Bush. The people of TN had their heads up their butts. And I can willingly say that having grown up there.

I am living here. If one can get past the church people banging on ones door at dusk to check to see if your a crad carring member of the church and thereby the Republican party. The people who hate others because they are different than they. The folks who thinks getting rid of education would put everyone on a level playing field. To top it all off the ones who think any type engineer is a person who drives a train and says "An Engineer? But they tour the tracks out back in the early 80's under Regean."
