MoveOn members endorse Lamont
I have to say, I'm extremely surprised that the numbers where this high. 85-14 win for Lamont is much greater than I would have expected. I'm not sure if Lieberman really comprehends how angry he's made the people of Connecticut with his anti-America Republican hate ideology. I would have expected it to be closer to a 70-30 split. But it appears that Lieberman's lashing out at the Democrats has finally gone so far beyond the realm of acceptable behavior that he's permanently damaged his credibility. I think this has caused people to suddenly realize that they don't have to put up with incompetent and foolish representation in the Democratic party anymore. I think a Lamont victory will send a shock wave through the Establishment Democrats across the country. They've failed to stand up for Americans and now Americans are going to stand up for themselves and if necessary on the dust of the Establishment Democrats. I think it's going to spread across the entire Northeast. DFA managed to raise quite a bit of money for Lamont after their endorsement for him. And Markos mentions that everywhere he goes on his Crashing the Gates book tour people ask about the Lamont campaign. People are ready for change and I think it starts with Lieberman. It's going to be a tough fight, but when a 50,000 person organization gives 85% of it's support to a candidate, then you know change is coming. All I can say is its about freaking time!
