Norway to House Seeds in Doomsday Vault

This is a great idea considering how blatantly irresponsible we've seen corporate agricultural companies being with our food crops. It's only a matter of time before they destroy the ability of the people of this planet to produce the food necessary to feed ourselves. The people of Norway decided to collect all the seeds from the entire planet in one place. Another good idea, since local store housing is always in danger of some sort of local natural disaster. The last I checked Norway was relatively stable where it's located. They might want to make sure that the facility is completely water proof and has an airlock to handle rising sea levels in the future if we continue on the irresponsible course we are currently on. I'd really feel a bit safer if there were several of these kinds of vaults all over the planet as backups. Actually we probably need to set up technological versions as well consider the fact that human history is filled with disasters that knocked us back to the stone age because we depended too heavily on a handful of experts in their fields rather than sharing the information freely. I mean we've codified that kind of irresponsible behavior in our patent laws today to keep innovation from happening. It's time to take the world a bit more seriously and start preparing for the worst. And if it doesn't happen? Funny how it's not so hard for people to accept that they need insurance on their cars, but they can't comprehend the notion of insurance for the species. That's some messed up convolutions right there.

I think they should store complete sets in different vaults across the planet so if something happens to one set then they have a backup somewhere else.
