She's Fixed!

singersewingmachined.jpg

I couldn't take it anymore! I really just haven't found myself liking or wanting to use my new sewing machine that I ended up buying when the one pictured above went wonky on me! It's ok, but I just don't care that much for it! And subsequently I haven't done much sewing at all lately...Thus no quilting updates!

So today I decided it couldn't be that hard to fix what was wrong with my other machine, which when I sat down with it I had no clue as to what that was, so I opened her up and took a look! It turns out that the needle shank had somehow locked itself in place and thus was making the thread bunch up when it tried to sew. When I figured that out I was able to fix that and now she works like a dream! I also cleaned her out while I was in there and was going to oil her as well, but it turns out she was ok in that area so I didn't need to break out the oil can! (Or I guess oil bottle as the case may be!) The other machine is a nice backup option, but I like my original machine so much better! But the most important aspect of this is that I fixed it! Yeah me!! :o)

Jamison has gone to the dedication ceremony for George Johnson's new campaign office so I'm currently watching the grumpy one (long story), but tomorrow I'm going to work on some quilting projects! Now that my old girl is up and running I am much more motivated to sit down and actually work on some ongoing projects! If I get any significant work done I will most definitely post pictures! :o)

A happy Saturday afternoon everyone!
