Democratic Diva Dessert Party Fundraiser
Please join the YDM Women's Caucus along with Karen Britto, Myrna and Congressman Ben Cardin, Susan Elwell, Frances Hughes Glendening, Ariele Hausner, Teresa Healey-Conway, Sarah Holstine, Marc Korman, Sarah Lane, Noel LaPenna, Catherine and Ike Leggett, Diana Mueller, Sarah Schenning, Melanie Share, Jennifer and Stephen Thibodeau, Radha Vishnuvajjala for the Democratic Diva Dessert Party Fundraiser. The event will take place Sunday, July 16 at the home of Barbara Porterfield, 3704 Raymond St., Chevy Chase from 3 to 5 p.m.We will be honoring Delegate Pauline Menes with the Lifetime Diva Achievement Award and Senator Sharon Grosfeld and Senator Gloria Lawlah with the Democratic Diva Award
$20 minimum donation for all you can eat dessert!
$35 donation includes a "Democratic Diva" T-ShirtAs young Maryland women, we are proud to be residents of a state that is the 5th strongest Democratic state in the nation and ranked #1 in female political representation. Let's increase our representation in 2006.

I have to say these ladies are an amazing group of individuals! They were out in force during one of the Young Democrats training sessions, there isn't a task that they can't seem to organize and complete in seconds. I can't think of a better group for people to get out and support. Plus they are taking this chance to honor some truly great women in Maryland politics. So if you can make some time on July 16th to drop by and have some all you can eat deserts to support the next generation of female leaders that would be great. If you can't make contact with Ariele and see what else you can do to give them some support! I couldn't find their website, I feel a weekend project for Dianne coming on. ;) Actually I'm trying to convince Dianne, that we need to go. All you can eat desserts and she's still only minor interest.

My main concern is fidning a babysitter for She Who Screeches too much! She's in such a state as of late I feel bad leaving her with anyone. She seems to be getting better so maybe by the 16th she'll be peachy. We'll see.
Otherwise I think it would be a lot of fun to go! Who can say no to dessert??
