Despite incentives, turbine farm development stalls in Maryland
This is so frustrating to me. I've been so annoyed that we don't have the choice to pick green energy choices for our electricity because basically there isn't any here in Maryland. I actually sent a couple of the companies in this article emails a couple of years ago asking what was going on and why wasn't their project making progress. Of course, about half way through the article I get my answer and it's not surprise.
"The state Public Service Commission hasn't yet issued a decision on Rogers' application."
Tragically yet again, something that should be a straight forward decision is complicated by Republican politics. It's so annoying that they roadblock all forward progress whenever they get the chance. I'm sure that the PSC have buddies in the energy industry that don't want to move to wind energy forward for some reason, probably because of a lack of profit margins high enough to engorge their wallets large enough or something equally as trivial. And isn't it amazing that the Republican party will strip mine pristine wilderness when it's in a corporation's interest, but when those same corporate interests need an excuse to block something that threatens their profit margins the Republican party suddenly becomes the party of the environment? It's ridiculous! Folks, we need a massive change in Annapolis away from the culture of corruption and putting people last in every decision about the future of Maryland. There is no way around it, it's time for real leadership and the Republican party doesn't have any to offer.
