Janet Owens for Comptroller

I'm not going to lie, I was extremely disappointed when Janet got into the Comptroller race. One of the major reasons I'm trying to change the Establishment Democrats in power right now is because of the unforgivable actions of Schaefer and his buddy Ehrlich. I have a daughter and I'm not going to let her have to grow in a state that condones such behavior towards women. Not on my watch! So I will take any Democrat, but Schaefer in the post.

That being said, I'm convinced that Janet will do either one of two things. Split the anti-Schaefer vote, giving him a victory. The second option is that her pro-business leanings will allow her to split the Schaefer vote and anti-Schaefer vote giving her victory. But we have a Schaefer like clone in office and if by some chance another Republican gets in office we will see the same sort of anti-Marylander decisions coming out of the Comptroller's office. I don't like either choice. I'm going to try and get to know Janet better and go over her record to see if I can find something in it that will alleviate my concerns about her pro-business leanings. I'm not against people making a buck, but when it comes at the expense of the quality of life for everyone living in the state, I want someone that cares about that in office.

As for her website, very modern and dynamic. I put myself on her mailing list for fun. I get a couple million emails a day now, so it's kind of a drag. But it's a good way to figure out what the candidates are up to. No blog, but then again, I've stopped hoping for stuff like that from Maryland Candidates. It's on my agenda for the DCC when I get a voice on the board.

I believe you need not worry about good 'ol janet owens. She is an amazing candidate for comptroller and will surely do our great state of maryland a wonderful service if elected. Please vote Owens for comptroller, if for nothing else, than its time to.

Farryn your response addresses none of my concerns about the candidate. I hate races that require me to pick the lesser evils. You still end up with evil in the end, lesser or not.
