Pretty In Pink Doesn't Hold The Test Of Time

I've been watching 80's movies as of late on TiVo and I must say after watching Pretty In Pink again this evening it just does NOT hold the test of time! I watched Sixteen Candles the other day and it is still great! But Pretty In Pink just wasn't that good!

Thinking back Pretty In Pink was never one of my favorite movies in the 80's. My main beef with it was that Andie didn't end up with Duckie. I always like it when the girl ends up with the underdog! But oh well. All of this to say, sometimes movies you remember as being really good way back when, don't end up being that good at all when you watch them again years later. I guess that is how life goes!

Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, and Sixteen Candles all sort of run together for me, since I haven't seen any of them in at least ten years. It's the one about the prom, right? And she makes over a vintage dress?

That's pretty much the jist of it. Plus the poor girl falls in love with rich boy twist thrown in for good measure.
