Rose Forrest for Delegate District 31
I'm going to start out by saying I always favor female candidates for any office. Women are natural born leaders and they are willing to make strategic sacrifices for the greater good of the whole. We would be a lot further along as a nation if women ran things instead of men. But given all the pollution and toxins that men have allowed into the environment, natural selection is going to go ahead and make that a reality without any effort by women to take over.
Anyway, Rose Forrest is an Iraqi War Veteran who last I talked to her was in Mississippi being processed back into the United States. Yes she's a transplant, which seems to cause some (especially those on the other side of the aisle) some heartburn. But she's a soldier, she's told where she's supposed to report, so today it's Maryland, tomorrow its Iraq, and so on. Such is the life of someone that serves their country. Those without a history of military service in their families might not understand, but for those of us that do have it, there is nothing strange going on here.
Let's see her academics, pre-school teacher, journalism major, and finishing up her law degree. Add in Consumer Protection experience and Legislative Director in the Maryland General Assembly, it's hard to imagine a better candidate for office. Of course, it's going to take a lot of hard work on the ground.
Her website needs a few tweaks, but it's fine all things considered. As always I would have gone a different way, but that's just the nature of things these days. I'm going to pass along fix suggestions to the campaign.
So check out Rose Forrest's campaign site and send her an email of support. It's great that we've got so many good Democratic candidates in this race. It's going to be a great year.
