Some Days My Job Sucks!

I was talking to my mom on the phone for a few minutes checking on how she was feeling, how my Dad's post surgery check up went, talking about her perhaps bringing her quilt stuff to the the beach, all while I was cutting out more pieces for the pinwheel quilt. I had my back turned on Alexis but she was sitting behind me on the floor. The fact that she was being quiet should have clued me into the fact she was up to something and when I turned around to see what she was doing I found that Alexis had gotten into my rubber stamps (click here to see the type of stamps I'm talking about) I had down to do some things for my store and had decimated three of them! Dear God I was livid!

Some days this child really just knows how to push my buttons! I made her clean up the mess, throw away the pieces and then sent her to time out. After that we had a nice little talk about how what she did was wrong and she wasn't allowed to play with my stamps anymore. She just keeps telling me "But Mommy...I don't understand!" to which I remind her "Yes you do understand Alexis. You told me what you did was wrong so you understand perfectly!"

And she had no nap! I need a drink!
