Today is the kind of day that BC (Before Child) I would have spent in bed with a good book, maybe a movie or two and some hot tea. I'm got a coughing/slightly sore throat/chills/generally icky feeling thing going on and have for the past two days. But AC (After Child) you don't get such luxuries as a sick day, or at least as a Mom you don't. And now to add insult to injury Alexis appears to be getting whatever this lovely little bug that I have is too and has been coughing/sneezing/rosy cheeked and generally grumpy all morning!! She's currently laying in her bed for her "nap" and is crying about "how sad" she is. Really? Can't I get a break somewhere?!!?!?!? And the really sucky thing about the whole endeavor is that tomorrow is my 33rd birthday. Who wants to be sick on their birthday or have a sick child on their birthday either??!?!? Jamison is taking Thursday and Friday off so we can do some fun things, but sickness may preempt those little journeys too. So far he appears to be holding it off for the most part, but who knows what tomorrow will bring. Sometimes life and fate just sucks!
