And Now For Maryland!

CNN is also calling the new governor of Maryland to be Martin O'Malley!!

Can it be true? Are we finally getting rid of Ehrlich? Has it only been 4 years? It seems like so much longer!!!

Don't hold your breath; they're calling it based on half the precincts in Queen Anne's County.

But they've called Cardin beating Steele too, so keep your fingers crossed!

I don't get how they're calling when only 5% of the precincts are in statewide. Plus, what about all those absentee ballots??? It just seems a little short-sided of them -- isn't this what the press has gotten in trouble for in past elections???

It's all exit polls, of course. But they've counted Baltimore and started PG county now, and it appears that Steele's "target demographic" decided NOT to switch parties this year. With that piece of info, it's safe to project Cardin.

I think they learned their lesson about calling things until they were really sure. This one was locked up.
