GOP is seeking to be less confrontational

Now I find that extremely hard to believe. This is the party of Don Dwyer and Brian Simonaire folks. They are narrowly focused on a handful the most divisive issues on the planet. These are the only issues they care about at all. The entire rest of the state could fall into complete disrepair and be destroyed, but it wouldn't even bother the GOP. I mean look at Dwyer's quote when people brought up how ineffective he was representing District 31 because of his absolute focus on divisive issues instead of actually representing his district, "If you think I was ineffective before, Katie bar the door." We can pretty much expect the same thing going forward for all the Republicans. As we've seen nationally, there is no such thing as a "moderate" Republican, your choices are more or less extremist.

I've really enjoyed the extremist Republicans of District 31 claiming that the "county is still trending Republican." Reality check guys, you got a massive boost because of Ehrlich a local candidate for a statewide office, in a normal year you wouldn't have gotten that kind of turn out. Your base got motivated hoping they could turn the tide of the state and they failed. Everywhere else you lost ground or broke even at best. In the four years we've seen the Republican party wasting valuable time on their extremist agenda and the voters will actually be ready for real representation and we will see where your vaunted trending is heading.

That's funny....Democrats push to open the borders to illegal aliens and wants to turn us into a socialist nation.

Incidentally, the base wasn't that motivated. The fact of the matter is that the Democratic candidates in District 31 were weak. And there is no bench.

The Democratic party in Distrcit 31 is DEAD.

Yeah, it's the Democrats in District 31 that were single handily opening America's borders and turning us into a socialist nation. Please! It's the state legislature folks they have absolutely NO control over anything related to those topics.

As for the specifics of the Democratic party in District 31, I'm writing up a special post mortem post about what went wrong.
